Working away...

- Well, I have been doing what I can to finish things up here and prepare for SPX... I have been doing all kinds of character design here, and with hope, I can get it all up on the gallery before I take off...
- Well, I have managed to obtain my last loan, and soon, I should have the rest of the road paved to finish up here at the end of 2005... Wow, that seems so close from now...I am definitely afraid and excited all in the same. I have been looking at some ideas on where my life shall lead me next.... I have to sit down sometime in November and look at San Diego... you knows what's next...

The future remains a mystery...

Trying to breathe here...

Creativity is needed

- Nothing really new is going on around here.. just working my ass off... But in any case I shall place this post up for others to run across...

AFTER HOURS is a new comics anthology currently seeking pitches and submissions from comics creators. After Hours is our working title only; the final title will be selected when the contributions' influence can be considered.

Rather than submissions of completed comics, the Anthology is requesting pitches from prospective contributors. These pitches/proposals should contain whatever it takes to sell the story and the contributor as something the anthology should leap on.

Pitches should contain a story summary, and a sample of art. Completed stories are not necessary, but are acceptable. More details are available on the Time/Memory Anthology Boards.

Creators may submit more than one story. Creator teams are invited. Although the AFTER HOURS editorial board is not equipped to pair artists and writers, see the topic thread "Creative Loveline" to assist you in finding the collaborator of your dreams.

The theme for the inaugural issue of AFTER HOURS is Time and Memory. We are seeking stories that directly address or have characters impacted by time or memory. This theme can be tackled head-on, or handled more abstractly or experimentally.

AFTER HOURS seeks to publish the best in comics. Successful stories will not rely on generic conventions for their success. We need stories that will range from realistic to fantastic to experimental; stories with a striking degree of quality in presentation as well as storytelling ability. A variety of art styles and genre are invited, and will be considered equally.

Stories should be 3-10 pages in length, although exceptions will be allowed.

Deadline for this initial story pitch will be November 1, 2004. Pitches will be accepted in electronic form by privately messaging Jason C-M a link to your work (from the Found Hat Press forum, if possible). You may also turn in your pitch and receive immediate feedback at the Carpal Tunnel Press booth at SPX, Oct. 1-3. Further questions may be addressed to any of the Editorial Board, either by PM or E-mail.
